Kate is the CEO of Moloto Solutions and Moloto BEE, an accredited BEE verification agency. She has handled a number of private and public sector verifications of different sizes. She has handled a number of consulting assignments for large companies involving mere improvement of BEE score to advice on complex ownership deals.
Kate successfully led all the
national audit projects (reviews) assigned to the sister agency Mining Charter, Oil Charter, 2nd Baseline, and Retail Audit. Kate has held a number of senior strategic positions: e.g. CEO of Ntsika (SEDA), Project Manager (lead consultant)
for Mafisa, Interim CEO of AISA and Acting CFO of the MHSC
Her journey with empowerment began at the DBSA as head of the Transformation Task Force. She has since overseen the development and implementation of SCM policies, strategies and procedures and related matters. In financial services: roles included due diligences, fund management as director/shareholder and fund raising.
In corporate governance : internal audits, risk management, compliance reviews.
In financial management : various trouble shooting roles as Acting CFO. Articles, banking, and financial management roles in early part of career.
She was also on the Ministerial Task Team on Broad Based/Ownership Schemes and authored the relevant report. Kate is the Former Chairperson of the ABP (Association of BEE Professionals), the industry body for verification professionals. She served on the Sanas and the ( dti ) Joint Technical Committees as a result. She is also an Investment Advisor , Director and Shareholder of Agrivie/ Avia a Private Equity Fund Manager of an Agricultural PE fund.
She has served on the following boards a.o : Services SETA, SEFA, Pikitup and Land Bank. She holds a B Com, CTA, Investment Analysis Certificate, CIA (Internal Auditor), B BBEE MDP, and FAIS ACT Representative, and Skills Development Facilitator qualifications, and is an EEP (economic empowerment
professional)
